How To Flashing ulefone u658
welcome, today i review the xiaomi mi5 (64gb) in white. mi5 does not support lte band 20, but has a5,15 zoll display with full-hd resolution a snapdragon 820 with 2.15 ghz anda working fingerprint-sensor. everything neatla ypacked in a housing made of glas and metal.the backside looks like the xiaomi mi note pro you can buy it (if you are lucky)in white, gold or black. the pro version comes with a ceramic backcover.other versions came with glas/plastic ones.700:00:26,859 --> 00:00:30,510on the left edge you see the 16 megapixel cam withoptical image stabilizer and two led. the battery is build in and not changeable. you can open the backcover with enough force. the price is about 430 euros.
and now, if you wan't, the full review. let's start with the 16 mp cam and it's optical image stabilizer. image quality if good, but the ois lacks.it is not as good as the galaxy s7. the two leds are bright enough to reachabout two meters far. the ois has some problems stabilizing imagesin low light situations. samsung's galaxy s7 is doing a betterjob. but, it is also more expensive! the white backcover is niceand not showing fingerprints at all.
the black one is always lookingsmuggish. but also looking way better and more "exclusive". it don't think they are made of glas. in fact it it's made of plasticand glas. and there is no corning gorillaglas at all. so be extra cautious and useadditional covers. the left side and the chasisis made of metal. as you can see, it is getting smallerto the sides. here you can see the tray for two nano-sims.
lte band 20 is not supportedand you can't add microsds. on the right side of the xiaomi mi5 you can see the power-buttonand the volume-rocker. you see the smaller chasis? looks like a samsung s7 but in fact it is a smallermi note pro. headset on the upper side and there is also a ir-sensor. together with one of the two microfones.
on the lower side you see micro usb type cthe microfone and the speaker. speaker is on the right. it can bee muffled with you pinkie! here you see the display and the newmiui space you need two fingers to drop down. there is a app-drawer then, butall apps are in once place. you have to get used too. i like the miui but notthe miui space. as i can not sort my appswithin folders.
lets have a look at the5,15 inch display (ips) with it full-hd resolution and it'sgood brightness. of course sunlight is always brighter :d colors are decent not as oversatured as on samsung. you can change contrast and colors in the settings. i like the display and do not needqhd. let's face the miui interface. it is version 7.2 based on android 6.0 marshmallow
7.2 is rolling out for otherxiaomis, too. if you are not that experiencedyou will not see any difference to miui 7 apart from miui space. it is looking good and smooth. but there is no app-drawer. you can sort the app-icons ondifferent homescreesn or folders. there are alot of security featuresin miui. most of them are available in thesecurity manager. os is mostly in english or chinesebut there is also a global version
with more languages. german language is missing, though. bootloader is locked and has to beunlocked for custom roms. but you can flash using mi flashtools. custom-rom and twrp is working withunlocked bootloader, only. in the latest global stable all google apps are included. you can sync contacts, apps and all the features. push is also working. e.g. whatsapp, facebook or cloudmagic. if you use the china stable you have to install google apps yourself.
without lte band 20 it is not much of a use in germany. and i will not be supported in the near future. i'm still waiting for the global developern with more languages (e.g. german). should be released within some days because of the release in india. i like xiaomi and their miui with all the additional features. you see the usual features of android and all the shortcuts. here you will see all messages sorted in a timeline. if you get used to, you'll love it.
a fingerprint reader is a must have and xiaomi is doing his best. it is a real button and like the samsung s7 is using you have to press it before it is unlocking your mi5. sensor is not working without pressing your fingers on it touching is not enough :d there are also two sensor-buttons onthe left and right. you can use them as back-buttonand taskmanager. you can also change some settings and or effects.
and if you like, you can addmore features in the settings. you can swap the functions or add special features. the settings are somewhat crippled, lot's of points so you have to get usedto it. camera app looks like iphone.but there are more features. some live effects. and more features like hdr, fish eye and stuff like that.
and there are more options! quality of the new 16 mp chipis good, but pictures are a bit too light. pictures taken with samsung s7 looked better, but the s7 is also much more expensive. the ois is not working that good. if it get's dark, you better use astativ. the snapdragon 820 it presented in3 different versions. 1,8 gigahertz (32gb) and 2,15 ghz starting from 64 gb. the 128gb is using 4 gb ramothers only 3gb.
antutu-benchmark is more than 130.000 points but it tends to get alot warmeron the backside. but it is not that hot. in geekbench 3 you get more than 2.300 pointsin single core and more than 54.00 points in multi core. but you can't extend the memory via microsd only by usb-oth with special adapters. then you can add external memoryup to 128 gb. quality of reception is good.voice quality is also good.
lte is working, but switchesbetween bands are slow. the overall loudness is enough. wifi is working good. both bands are supported on rural areas the reception quality suffers a bit. but that is typical xiaomi. and it does no concern metoo much. let's face the summary: it is cheap, you'll get three differentversions. 32 gb for around 350 euros.
64gb fopr around 420 euros and 128 gb for alot more money, if available. so you get alot smartphonefor your money! i like the design, i like the look. its a combination of metal and glas, but no gorilla glas. you can change the backcover,if you know how. but you can not change the battery. 16 mp cam is good enough for me. ois is not that fast or reliable.21300:12:51,010 --> 00:12:52,620
but it is cheap and decent smartphone so you won't miss more that full-hd resolution. and i like the display as it is. snapdragon 820 is one of the fastest cpu and the xiaomi mi5 is opne of the bestsmartphones. but you need to import it yourself andthere is no lte band 20. at the moment there is also nosupport for german language. the bootloader is locked, so nocustoms roms. you can install updates via ota.
and if you are unlocked you can installcustom roms and twrp.23100:13:55,760 --> 00:13:59,710 you'll find the full reviewon mobile-reviews.de and please leave a thumb up! if you like leave a commentabout the xiaomi mi5. have a good day.
