How To Flashing colors x55

all right here we are. this is the firsttime i've worked on a pc laptop. i've done macs several times can't rememberever doing a pc. anyway, first thing you do is undo the two screws on the back cover. and you can undo all of these little screws. they're all roughly the same size exceptfor the ones right by the two back hinges. so keep thesein safe place in a bowl or bag or something that you won't loose them all. because they are pretty small. take your hard drive out

you probably have some sort of coveror harness on yours but this one was just in loose. underneath the hard drive is a little screw take that out as well. then you need to pop off this keyboard their is little tabs all along. so start in one corner flick it and lift it up. just go to the next next next and the whole thing will finally lift up. you're going to need a pretty small flat head screwdriver for this. then you can take off the ribbon. now the ribbon

pulls to the right and again there is more screws. take all these out again, put them in a safe place now i like the group these. i'll put them in a different pile. than the one i took off the back. the screw under the yellow tape is the one that holds in the dvd player. so if you just need to take out the dvd drive just undo that one screw.

and these just snap off so you're going to have to grindyour fingernails in between the plastic top and the bottom of the laptop here. just snap snap snap the clips to get all this off its a little bit of a pain it not the easy part of the project. then take a paper clip or whatever and poke the hole and it should start to come out. pull it out and if you didnt undo the screw, its not going to come out.

there's going to be more screws. three more screws you have to take out once you get the dvd player out. those are the smallest ones. once you have the keyboard off flip up this little latch and then disconnect the blue ribbon. that ribbon secure flips like a laptop lid. it's not like the last one that you had to pull to the right. alright now you are at the motherboard, mainboard. and there are some more screws these ones are marked was a little whitetriangle

again put these in a separate place so when you put it back together you cantake them all in groups and you are not digging from one big pile, forgetting whichones go where there are some black screws on this side that you dont need to disconnect. those secure the cable mounts. but if you are not sure which ones to do lift up the board, and where ever its not lifting up

there is probably a screw there holding it. when you get all the screws out undo this tape. pull it back the ribbon cable again. this one flips like a laptop lid. then there is one more screw here by the fan. wiggle this thing out. you have to pull it away from the side ports there is going to be some cables connecting it. if you can just leave those connected at thetop.

unless you have to separate it. the problem with this board righthere; see this split when you plug it in right there it got yanked or something and split.totally disconnected. so there's absolutely no power going toit because right behind the plug it split. so there must have been a pretty big yank. on the power cord to separate that from the back. so a little tac of solder. this is such a small spot its a little hard to do. especially with a rough soldering iron like this.

see it bridged the connection there? i don't know if you can tell but i have to clean it up now. so it doesn't short circuit. you can see right here there's no solder touching thismetal on the edge. so, it wont short circuit now. and i will test, make sure its a complete circuit here. so i tested the back and its good. and while i'm at it, i may as well cleanup the fan.

now it's reassembly! it's always tricky. i always end up with morescrews at the end for some reason. there you go, flip in this little cable there. and put in all the screws remember these are the silver color screws, not the black ones. they go where ever you see a little triangle. plus up at the top at the fan. this is the one you should do once the dvd drive is in. i made a mistake here.

thats the one that secures the drive in. it is correctable without totallyripping open the whole thing again. if you made that mistake. this is easy with tweezers, a little harder just using fingers. so lift it up, the little black latch. put in the cable, and close the latch on the cable. there is two. one at the bottom and one at the top. under the yellow tape.

once those are done just push it all flat. make sure the edges are all re-clipped back in. you will hear them snap. throw in the screws.hopefully you separated them into piles separated them into piles and you know how many, and what kind and where they go. put them everywhere you see the dips in the metal with the hole in it. flip it over and put in the dvd screws. the tiny little black ones, there's three of them.

then clip in the white wire. and the black wire. these things are a little hard. just get them lined up and push them down. if you don't get them lined up they are not going to go down. take your time with it. there is a black screw behind the hard drive. put that in. now attach the ribbon for the keyboard. remember this one is not a latch, this one slides to the right to open. and so i have it puled out to the right.

i slide it in to the left and once it's in i pull it to the left. and it locks the ribbon in place. the bottom goes in first. just squish it in along the tabs up at the top till you heat it click. now there is more screws on the bottom these two big ones, the biggest screws. are the ones right by the hinges so in case you cant

remember where those fit. and then grab your big pile of the other screws start putting them in all over the place a couple more by the hinges. some more where the battery goes lots along the other half too. slip in the hard drive. again you probably have a bracket or something. but this one they just had paper shovedinto place, it seemed to work. so then put in all the screws and then put on this cover. i skipped all that so you didnt have to watch it all again. this has the 2 last screws here.

then you pop in the battery and the drive. this should have gone in earlier but you can open the keyboard again and move the screw out and lock it back in. you don't have to rip open the whole thing. now we are going to power it up and hey look! it works! so one yank and it disconnected the power connector port. but a quick solder and it works!i hope this helps a bit. if it has please "like" it and if you have any questions go ahead and ask.
