heyy! what up guys!! here i show you other tutorial for how to flash diy the old kiss esc 24a for upgrade them from v1.01 to v1.02 firmware , which is the lastest stable version. this upgrade is a little hard to do, and please make it with caution, you could damage the esc... and nothing more, i hope what you like it, and we go step by step for show you how to flash them. i present you the parts which we will need to flash. the esc v1.01, the ftdi usb, wires... and the solder. and i am stanting the process... for flashing the esc, the first we must to do is go to www.flyduino.net and download the kiss 24 a esc manual 1.02 pdf. in the 5th page, we can see the diy tutorial for flashing the esc.

1. connect the usb-uart to one esc (rx-tx tx-rx and gnd-gnd)2. unmount all propellers!3. connect the usb- uart to your computer and then power the esc. 4. wait 5seconds and open a serial monitor (putty or arduino serial monitor) with 115200 baudand linwarp enabled.5. type in "info" without the ""6. you will get a serial number besides some other infos. you must to repeat this process for all esc's you like to update. after having your serial numbers, you must to click in the link, and put all the serials in all boxes, then click into "get hexfile" and you will download the .hex file for flashing the esc. this software will be the v1.02. the next step, you must to download the next software "demonstrator gui" clicking in the text. with this program you can flash the esc from 1.01 to 1.02 version. so, we will begin to flash the esc ! i will start with this esc per example, the number 1 motor esc

put off the shrink tube, and we must to do in the esc some little solders, in the tx, rx and gnd. here we have the ftdi usb, i prepare the wires with tx, rx and gnd ones. we mus to put tx - rx and rx - tx , alright? and solder the wires into the esc pads... and finally the gnd wire into the general esc gnd. this first step, works for watch every serial number from each esc. now, use the positive and negative wires, with pliers, for connect them into the + and - from esc please, take care, do this with caution guys. then, connect the ftdi into the pc, and then plug the lipo battery, and you will heard the esc sound "pirirã­"

then, we go to the pc, and open the arduino program. click in tools, then choose the com, and finally serial monitor. write "info", and we can see the esc serial number here. copy with ctrl+c and paste with ctrl+v into a wordpad for note the serial number. after do this, we must to do the same process all times who we need to know the serial numbers many esc we have to do it. now, i have the 4 serial numbers from all esc. with these 4 serial numbers, i put them into the boxes, and then click into "get hexfile" for download the software. now, we have the 1.02v hex and now, i will flash every esc with this .hex firmware, using the "demonstrator gui" software.

but before to that, we need to do other similar process than before, we need to resolder again the wires into the esc, and i must to close the boot jumper. then, the same, put the power wires... and connect the usb into the pc, then, power up the esc with the lipo. now, we don't heard no sound from the esc, becasue is in boot mode. then, we go to the software "demonstrator gui" choose the correct com, then change the value to "57600" and 1 for timeout, click next. click into remove protection. ...next... choose the 32k version..., clich next... click download device, global erase, confirm... and next.

select the 1.02 .hex for flash. and wait for the process... close program, unplug lipo, desconnect usb... now, this esc has the v1.02 software, and after this, we need to open the bridge from boot pads, ok? this general flashing process we must to do 4 times...each for every esc. after do all esc, we have all the esc with the lastest stable 1.02 .hex firmaware. from here to the next upgrade flashing, you never must to do again this ftdi process, now, you always can flash them with the kiss gui into the pc (easieeeeeeeeeer) now, only need to reconnect all into my drone. and if you want, i am going to show you how to flash with the kiss gui to other prototype version (or any newer version in the future).

i resolded all esc into my quad, and then i must to remove all the propellers!! please be safe!!! connect the usb to the kiss fc open the kiss gui, and connect. if you want to flash other lastest esc version... click into esc flasher... click knowing what i am doing... then select the firmware, plug the lipo battery into your quad, and then click in flash. and you can see the process... :d wait a little for complete the process...

and we listen the esc finish sound :d flashing complete!!! then, unplug lipo, and usb... and finallly, we have all our esc flashed to the lastest firmware version!!! yesss! :d that is all!!! if you like this video tutorial, please give me your like, share it and comment!! thank you!!!!!!
