- you can watch by clicking hereand then come on back to this video to get the continuation! - you'll be all caught up for the season seven premier after watching this recap in one take and under six minutes. - starting now! - we left off with the escapeof a large herd of walkers that had gathered in front of alexandria. - deanna... - alexandria's leader who is grief over her husband's death last season.
- ...has given rick limited control over the town. - his ricktatorship begins with control of alexandria's work force against the growing walker force. - the residents aren't happy with the ricktatorship's methods! - can you blame 'em? he survived five seasons, so he must be doing something right. - rick comes up with a plan with glenn and michonne to lead the large herd of walkers away from alexandria. - a zombie parade!
- things get worse in alexandria with rick and company gone, as the scavenger group, the wolves, invade it. - the noise from the attack attracts the rear half of rick's walker parade. - carol, maggie, carl, and othersdefend the town from the wolves, who attempt and fail to stealtheir weapons supply. - during the attack, morgan captures the same wolf he encountered last season. - carol and morgan have a falling out! - she thinks all wolves should be killed,while he thinks otherwise.
- back outside of alexandria,rick orders michonne and glenn to lead the rest of the groupback to town. - time for more zombie killing!(gun blasts) - only problem is that they aren't really battle-ready and most of them get eaten or killed by walkers. - rip, most of michonne and glenn's group. - michonne and heath...- another member of the group. - ...manage to escape from the attacking walkers, leaving glenn and nicholas behindin an abandoned store.
- nicholas is also another member of the group. - glenn and nicholas are trapped on top of a dumpster, surrounded by walkers with no way out! - nicholas decides to take his gun and commit suicide, accidentally knocking glenn into the walkers. - glenn's insides are then ripped apartand slurped like spaghetti by walkers! - (tearfully) rip nicholas and rip glenn! - why did it have to be glenn?!?! - back in alexandria, rick gets taken into town
just as the rear half of the walker herdhe was luring away trap him and the others inside. - hearing that glenn didn't make it back,maggie tries to sneak out with aaron. - however, it's too risky because, well, she's pregnant! - you'll never see your father, unborn baby glenn jr! - things begin to changefor everyone in alexandria. - long story short, the town membersfinally realize that shit is going down and learn to take up arms,town member denise kisses tara, rick finally kisses jessie,and deanna officially appoints rick
as leader of alexandria. - everybody got that? good! - back at glenn's corpse--wait... glenn's moving? he's alive?! - yeah, turns out the body that was being ripped apart was nicholas', which was on top of glenn's! well played, walking dead. just don't give us another fake out like that! - glenn narrowly survives the herdand is found by enid... - a teen girl who came to alexandria at the beginning of the season
that developed a bondwith carl and then left. - ...and the two arrive at a walker-surrounded alexandria. - a sudden structural collapse cracks open the town's wall! - walkers begin seeping in and everyone runs for cover. - morgan hides carol in his house,but she attacks him, sensing he's been hiding something. - she finds the injured wolfwhom morgan had secretly been holding prisoner and attempting to reform. - morgan knocks out carol, but the wolf knocks him out
and takes denise hostage. - she had been there, tending to the wolf's wounds. - glenn and enid find an opening and get into the town, reuniting with maggie. - you'll finally see your father,unborn baby glenn jr! - the townspeople are forced to leave, using zombie disguises... - aka covering themselves in walker gutsso the walkers think they're dead and leave them alone. - ...however, deanna gets bitten by a walker
and makes the tough decisionto stay behind. - rip, deanna. - however, jessie and her kid, sam,accidentally walk un-walker-like in their zombie disguises.- all hell breaks loose! - jessie and sam are killed by walkers,while carl's eye is accidentally shot out! - rip, jessie, sam, and carl's eye! - wait, what's been goingon with abraham, sasha, (gruffly) and more importantly, daryl? - we haven't even mentionedthem at all so far!
- well, they've been busy luringthe front half of the walker parade, only to be shot at by armed men who call themselves "saviors." - they are forced to give up their weapons and are interrogated for the location of alexandria. - before they can give it up, daryl takes out the entire group with an rpg like a badass! - seriously, the scene is like a level of contra come to life. - turns out messing with darylwas a... bad decision. - just outside of alexandria's walls,carol catches up to the wolf and shoots it!
- she realized afterwards that he'd reformed and was actually saving denise's life from the walkers. - oops.- rip, badly timed reformed wolf guy. - rick and the other alexandrians are nearly overwhelmed with walkers just as daryl, sasha, and abraham arrive. - daryl then distracts the walkers by burning fuel using his rpg. - we're totally shipping daryl and the rip.(smooch) - rick admits he was wrong about the townspeople, now seeing they havewhat it takes to survive.
- flash forward! it's now two months later! - while the wall has been repairedand life is kind of back to normal, food is at an all-time low. - on a food run, rick and darylrun into paul rovia, or as his friends call him, jesus. - i mean, he's got the beard but it seems that anyone with a positive sounding name... - (cough) saviors. (cough) - ...always has something up their sleeve.
- so they knock him out and bring him back to town. - later, rick and michonne sit together,have a nice talk, and then... make out? - "richonne?!" yeah, we ship it! - even one-eyed carl approves. - rick and jesus eventually work out their differences. - they make a deal to trade for some foodfrom jesus' community at the hilltop. - heading toward the hilltop, rick and the gang find out things aren't as peachy as they sound. - turns out the town is being extorted by a man named negan.
- yes, get excited walking dead comic fans! - he's the lead of the saviors, who had attacked daryl and others earlier. - rick decides to make a dealto kill negan and take out the saviors for 50% of the hilltop's supplies. - meanwhile, carol has her own problems as all the death she's caused start weighing heavy on her conscience. - rick then gathers the groupand they sneak-attack what they think is the saviors' stronghold.
- good news! they wiped it clean with no casualties. - bad news! carol and maggieare taken hostage. - daryl then capturesa savior named primo. - they offer to trade him back to the saviors for carol and maggie, but the deal falls apart. - however, through someknife-slicing and walker releasing, the two women are able to kill their captors. - they meet up with the others and primo,
and he reveals that he's negan?! - he's finally here!- rick then shoots him in the head. - he gone!- rip, negan. - wait, isn't he supposed to be the big bad this season? that was way too easy. - the saviors have seemingly been eliminated as a threat and things go back to normal. - well, maybe not relationship-wise. - long story short, abraham leaves rosita for sasha,
rick and michonne officially become richonne, tara and denises become a thing,and carol and tobin become a couple. - ♪ love is in the air ♪ - however, on a supply run with daryl, eugene, and others, denise is struck through the head with a bow! but from who? - yeah,the saviors weren'tas wiped out as they thought. - rip, denise. - holding eugene hostage, they demandto be taken to alexandria,
like last time they met. - and like the last time they met,the saviors are defeated and leave. - daryl feels guilty about denise's deathand decides to go and avenge her. - things get even worse when maggie starts to have complications with her pregnancy. - on top of that, carol decides to leaveas her conscience continues to weigh on her. - she's confronted by a group of saviorsand guns them down like a badass!! - seriously, who thought that the carol from season one would turn into this carol?! - glenn, michonne, and rosita look and finally find daryl.
- during a scuffle to save him,daryl is shot in the back! - no! not daryl! we said no more fake outs, walking dead! - it's okay though. he's badly injured, but alive. - morgan finds carol and encountersa group of armored survivers willing to give her medical assistance. - rick and the others decide to take the in-pain maggie to the hilltop for medicine. - however, the saviors blockevery route leading there.
- rick's group is captured and lined up execution style, and out of the darkness comes... negan? - yeah, turns out the other was a fake! - he also has a friend named lucille. aka a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. - we ship it! - he demands that half of alexandria's supplies be given to him. - negan also insists that he has to killone of rick's group members as punishment for them killing his men!
- negan picks one member of the group to kill through a classic form of choice. - eenie...- meenie... - ...miney--- dead! but who is it? - and now you're ready for the new season of the walking dead! - is maggie's baby gonna be okay? - who did negan kill? - seriously, if they killed daryl,i will cry right now
on camera, in front of everyone. i love daryl. - will you be watching the new seasonof the walking dead? - (both) we know we'll be! ♪ (vocalizing the walking dead theme song) ♪ - iron price! and now all the times we messed up! (tone) - ...as the scavenger group, the wolves, invade it.
