hi there guys i am nikhil from greedytechand this is the complete review of coolpad note 5 when coolpad first came to india, it was anew company and it did some things, which literally broke many records,like coolpad note 3, the first phone under 9000rs to come witha finger print scanner and 3gb ram, and still packing enough performance for decent gamingand very responsive os next they launched,coolpad note 3 lite once againthe first phone in the indian market to come with a finger print scanner and 3gbram with decent performance

it is still the only phone at 7000, with thosespecs after that they have changed their pricingstrategy they came up with coolpad max, coolpad mega and now we have coolpad note 5just a day back, they even launched coolpad note 3s and coolpad mega 3which are following the same trend now let's looks at the phone it self we have a metal build, with plastic stripsat the top and bottom for antinas a small camera bump, to protect the lens,and flat sides with chamfered edges it is slightly slippery, but has better gripand in hand feel than redmi note 3 or le 2

it weight at 170 grams, just 10 grams morethan redmi note 3 but still feel lot heavier than itits very well built, no flexing issues if i had to pick the best phone under 15000,in terms of build then this will be my top pick on the front we have 5.5 inch fhd display,covered by a 2.5d curved glass i don�t know, why but all the phones with2.5d glasses are very smooth to use and note 5 is the samewe have good color reproduction and no problems with viewing anglesat the bottom we have the capacitive buttons they are not interchangeable and they areno back lit

touch responsiveness it good,no complains over there i had a little lard time using the phone indark, so i just wish these buttons were back lit,at the top we have the 8mp camera with f2.2 aperture with a led flash , sensors and earpiece on the back we have the 13mp camera with f2.2aperture, led flash, a microphone hole and a finger print scanner both the cameras front and rear have wideangle lens, images are saturated but colors were gooddynamic range and sharpness are good capturing speed are good

this finger print scanner is definitely oneof the fastest finger print scanners in the price rangeit's fast and accurate cool ui comes with some finger print gesturesyou can use it to take picture using stock camera app, answer calls, start call recording,we also have a pp lock in build to lock apps and unlock them with the finger print scannerwe can also double tap the scanner to turn of the displayi use it to take selfies, and that�s all i do below the finger print scanner we have a loudspeaker it's sufficiently loud for regular media consumptionand i am actually pretty happy with it

on the op we have the audio jackand it does a good job btw we get a free paid of earbuds in the boxnow when someone gives you headset for free at least in this price range, they are uselessbut these are actually pretty good, they are usable on the left we have the volume buttons, andon the right we have the power button and sim card treybuttons are made of metal and have a nice tactile feel ,now this is the sim card trey it can house 2 nano sims or a nano sim anda sd card some say we can put all three at once andit still works, but i won't recommend it and

will not do it at the bottom we have the micro usb chargingport and this device is power by a 4000mah batterywe get a normal 10watts power adapter unlike other phones there are two types ofcharging if you choose fast charging, it will take2 hours to charge and if you choose intelligent charging itwill take 3 hours but it is supposed to keep your battery morehealthy for the battery size, i have no complaintswith charging time. and battery life is pretty goodon normal usage it can last you 2 days

and no matter how you use ityou can survive a day with some extra juice to sparwe have some nifty software features, that can improve your battery life and somethingcalled long standby, that improve the standby time by a great extent now let's look under the hoodwe have a sd 617 processor with adreno 405 4gb ram and 32 gb internal storagethese are the benchmarks scores it is definitely not as powerful as sd 650or 652 found in redmi note 3 or le 2 but still pretty goodgaming experience was great, no heating issuesmoto g4 plus, comes with the same 617 processor,

and heats up like hell, but this phone doesn�t have any such heating issuesi tested it again and again, and no heating issuesit does get warm while installing apps and while doing some intensive tasks, we already have so many options at this pricewe have great hardware, but all the phones seems to be missing a great softwarethe same applies even to note 5 now this phone runs on a skinned version ofandroid called coli 8, on top of android marshmallow there are three striking things about thisos

we have the notification toggles at the bottom,just like in , ios and we have a transparent notification bartough it looks cool, sometimes, it is hard to read notificationsand finally we have a redesigned recent apps pagewhich i think is slightly slowed i felt the animations were little slow,so i tweaked settings to increase the speed in terms of general stability and featuresit's really good but it feels like half backed softwareit has all the bells and whistles, but all scattered at different places we have a power saving mode, which enabledwhen your battery drops below 15%

and if you want to turn it off or on thereis no toggle for that , you have to settings to do that we have long stand as a toggle, but we can'tfile that option in settings we have googles version of app permissionsand cool u's version of app permission at 2 different placesevery time an app needs a permission you will be asked twicewe have some useful features like auto run manager, that can really improve you r batterylife we also have googles doze featureswe have screen gestures, like double tap to wakeoption to block all the ads

and simply lots morewe also have multi window feature, but we need to go into a dungeon to enable the settingswe have dual apps, but we can it only with whatsapp and facebook as i said, it packed in terms of software,but they are scattered all over the place i think they can improve it down the road we got 4gb of ram, and there is no memorymanagement issues so multitasking is great, we have all the sensors , fm radio, otg support,led notification light, for some odd reason

a pedometerall of that and they left out gyroscope because of that we can't use it for vr contentor watching 360 degree videos this is the only place where you have to compromisebtw it also supports volte, and jio call quality on normal calls and jio callswas good conclusion for a price tag of 11000rs there are lot ofgood things going on, we get the best design and build, good cameras,large battery, decent performance, , no memory management issues like in redmi ntoe3, ithad an audio jack which is missing in le 2, lot more software features missing in k5 noteand no heating issues, which is bothering
