this video shows how to copy photos from yourcamera to your computer using the usb cable that came with the camera or using a memorycard. digital cameras are typically shipped witha usb cable that can be used to copy files from the camera to a computer. most cameras has an access panel that coversthe camera's micro connection port. with the camera turned off, slide the accesspanel open and insert one end of the cable into the micro port. then connect the other end of the cable toa usb port on your computer. turn the camera on and wait for windows todetect the camera.
when windows is ready, a message opens inthe corner of the screen showing the camera name. click the message box. then select importphotos and videos. your photos and videos display on the screenand are ready to be imported. photos taken with a digital camera are storedon the camera's memory card. if your computer has a memory card reader,you can copy the contents of the memory card to your computer. the location of the memory card reader variesdepending on the type of computer you are using. a notebook memory card reader is typicallylocated on the side of the notebook. the card reader on a standard computer islocated on the front of the computer.

to import the files you selected, click import.the files display in the pictures library. if you want to change the file numbers tonames, right-click the file box, and then click rename. type the name you want to use in the box provided,and then click rename. the new name displays in the pictures library. if you want to name a group of files, right-clickeach file and click new folder. then type the folder name and click create. the new information displays in the pictureslibrary. to see a full view of the photos in the pictureslibrary, click one of the boxes. then click the right arrow to see the nextphoto.
right-click on a photo to open the pictureslibrary tools. from here, you can delete the photo, designatehow you want the file to open, set where you want the photo to display, and view a slideshow. you can also rotate or crop the file. to perform other edits, click edit. now, youcan auto fix the photo or perform basic fixes. you can also edit the lighting and colors,and add special effects. you can also work with your imported photosusing the photo app on the start screen. to do this, click photos. the pictures library opens. from here, youcan view, organize, and edit your photos
