we made 41€ with your tips on the first day and that's very nice! the project is about putting back the shenzhen hd videos which are basically doing reports in china. with real people, real places and monuments with our jtgeek touch! and for this we would like to take it up a notch with the videos and the better funding we have the better the quality will be! also there was the angry ones who yelled straight to say that we want to steal money to do what we already do! no! don't worry i have enough hightech products to make my own living! we will also partner with some serious announcer . some case brands, one french one japanese. so thank you very much to everyone who sent 1 euro or more because it will allow us to provide you with better content adn this all for you own pleasure as this way you'll become a bit our own producers! soooooooooo
today's test is about the zp1000 here we have a sample item that we received yseterday, we don't even have a price yet even if we can guess it approximatively. about the device... here you can see the sim slots that i pulled off before.. it's a unibody phone with a non removable battery. on the right side there are the volume switches and the power button under the microphone and the micro usb outlet on the left side the double sim slots that you can open with a little pin.
the slot is micro sim and nano sim! it' s a bit the local fashion here. if you don't have nano sim for the seond sim you have to ask your provider to get one or cut it alone at your own risk :) you put them you slide it in and now i can't open it anymore without the pin tool. behind you'll find a camera sensor with a simple flash led the back cover is built in a very good looking aluminium. the loudspeaer at the botoom we can see here that the imei starts with 35 even if it has not much intereset since everyone sells chineses smartphone with 86 and 35 imei the packaging is very simple. no unbelievable gifts. there's this blurred plastic protection cover, a free hand kit and the charger.
let's start it! i repeat that the battery is built in with 2100mah we have still the ugly zopo overlay. we will try to remover it... themes!!!! let's put back the system design! way better! the double check for the imei... the engineer mode now to check the band modes: it's quad band gsm :850, 900, 1800 and 1900 mhz and the 3g wcdma : 800, 850, 900, 1900 and 2000 2100 mhz

resolution is hd rear cam sensor is 14mp ram is 1 gb rom 16 gb no external micro sd available the cpu is mtk 6592 octacore so we you can see that it's not the hexacore that was announced! but apparently the hexacore is reserved for india! maybe mtk has also limited the hexacore because zopo sells alot of smartphone all around the globe.
so maybe there wasn't enogh chipset and they had to replace it with the mt6592. let's do the cpu identifier now : we can see here it's 8 cores 8 x 1.6ghz why it's not 2ghz? because it's using to much power from the battery adn it heats too much for now! the score 16651 avery nice score! now let's welcome our second extraodinary character! maitre pouce (master inches) aka the man with the lock! the screen is 5 inches length = 143 mm and it's matching!
width = 72 and it's matching! and now the thickness was given as 7 mm... it's along the same lines according to the caliper. double checking now the ram and rom.. with the running application menu we can see we're with 284 in use and 754 free so we're one a 1gb ram gsm. yes only 1 gb ram and we think it's because alot will buy it in teh 1gb version and then alot will buy it when it wil be out in 2gb version. the internal storage now : you have 3.94 gb to install all your app and there's 9.40 gbleft for all your medias and datas! so the phone is 1gb ram + 16gbrom but no external sdcard :(
now the technical part with zdevice! accelerometer...check! compass.... check! otg....working! so you'll have a notification when you plug a card reader for example. let's check the notification led too with the charger. it's here under the sticker!!! the ghost touches are slightly backlit with haptic sensor adn that's a good point the android version is 4.2.2 and we would have hope again for a better one like 4.3 but hopefully zopo will provide upgrades you'll have all teh google apps : playstore, youtube, gmail etc
also twitter and facebook and skype. this phone is dedicated to international with all teh apps that usually don't work in china! about the music and the audio overall now... music bugggg!! ??!!!?? we will tell zopo! so let's check the video instead because there will be sounds in it too! bug video!!???!! as you can see it's really a sample phone because the video can't be read yet! lame!! oklet's restart it maybe it's just a bug! et voila!!
alright let's start again about the audio.. we have medium tones high medium almost high tones but not really... so if like us you had a problem just restore the manufacturer settings adn it will solve everything! about the video now... the bottom and top blacks band are deep black. in full screen mode the screen is very good , with great contrasts, not so big luminosity but with this 5 inches screen the render is very nice! the screen is ips 180â°. the white veal doesn't exist anymore on those new generation screens. now let's check the camera sensors and the photo quality.. very good details! you can see the knittings pretty clearly.
the front cam! you can see now two pictures : one from the inside and the other from the balcony also a video from the inside and one taken also from teh balcony! next! the gps! it's jsut brilliant! we put it outside uand it fixed in 6 sec with alot of green bars! we're happy of this! let's compare it now with other phones
samsung s4 the closest chalenger it's abit larger and longer and abotu the thickness it's same same i still prefer the zopo because its look with teh aluminium is way more classy compared with a note 3 it's slighly smaller but not thicker. let's make the internet work. finally i got it to work! let's hope it's really only for the sample version all those little troubles! the pros and cons now pros: we liked the 5" widescreen hd 1980 x 720
we liked the 7.2 mm thickness the mt6592 octacore chipset with 8 x 1.7ghz we liked that it's a dual sim phone and compatible with the 3g wcdma 900mhz the battery 2100mah is enough with teh hd display and the gpu 1gb ram + 16gb rom it's good for now the camera that takes great video and photos! the estimated price should be under 200€ 196€ = $269 = 162⣠the cons now ..
