hi everybody welcome to a brand new series in which i show you guys the latest and greatest mods to be ported onto consoles. for the new release of skyrim special edition. except i lied, it's not actually going to be me. it's going to be potastic. go easy on her boys, she has no idea what she's doing, she's never done this before. but i believe in her, and you should too.

if it sucks, just tell her it's good anyways. it'll really make her happy. anyways, here is potastic. take it away potastic! hello everyone to a very new, different type of video. where i'll be reviewing and showcasing some of the coolest console mods that are out on bethesda.net with skyrim remaster coming out very, very soon mxr thought to get in on the hype

and show some love for the console players. so you guys will know which mods to get to re-vamp and immersive-fy that console skyrim experience. also, a lot of these mods have been updated quite a bit from the last time it's been reviewed. so you may be pleasantly surprised by what's in store. and in the spirit of remasterings? remastered-ness? he thought it would be a neat idea for a fresh opinion and a different voice to be the messenger. but really, he's just lazy. and yes! the man you see on the screen before you shall be your host today.

his name's rudalpho. it's pronounced; roo-dahl-fo and, he has no backstory yet. to clarify, mxr is the one who chose the name, and he was insistent on keeping the mustache. i think he may have a thing for mustaches... (please send help) so without further adieu, let's get started... roll the intro! for our very first mod; here is carry on skyrim; professor benjamin doon.

a stand alone follower by skinny tech boy he can be found at the bard's college in solitude and recruited by simply asking. this is a fully well voiced follower with over 1300 unique dialogue lines each filled to the brim with elderly wisdom (even his farts). mmm...that elderly fragrance...such wisdom. i feel smarter already. you know how people say don't judge a book by its cover?

well in this case, it's perfectly fine to do so. (those wrinkles aren't just for beauty). with professor doon, you'll be getting the whole package of what entails an elderly follower. he loves to read, get drunk at pubs, hates romantic songs but for some reason loves making sexual innuendos. i mean, the signs were pretty clear; his weapon is the lusty argonian maid book. a unique feature to the professor is that he has over 30 books to read to you. whether you like it, or not. this follower has his own quests, in which you'll discover who is professor doon.

and how he came to be the old man you see before you. you'll go on this journey as seeing a jolly old grandpa reading books to you and cracking inappropriate jokes progress to grumpy and finally, becoming a very dark and senile old man. the quest requires you to pick up hints and interpret his passing comments and readings. meaning no quest objectives or map markers. but i guarantee, once you complete the quest you'll definitely be rewarded with the simple yet powerful story that certainly hit me in the feels.

so forget those breastises and round butts. you'll definitely get more mental substance from this amazing elderly follower. now i know a lot of you probably already have this mod for your pc but for console players it'll be one of the greatest blessings. no longer will we have to ride that cart as a prisoner seeing helgen get burned for the millionth time watch lokir get shot (over and over again). i'm talking about, alternate start, by arthmour.

so when you next start up the game with this mod you'll start off in a dungeon next to a statue of mara and she will give you your multitudinous options to start your adventure. you can start off as rich and loaded by owning which ever house you desire or take the challenge of being left for dead and having absolutely nothing. you can have your best friends be bandits and have your bandit chief be your "raid or die" partner. or you can serve as a soldier for the empire or stormcloak without having to do that dumb initiation...test...thing.

i'm willing to fight and die for you, just take me goddammit! there are over 26 different options to choose. and each have their own sub-option (choices for days). some will also allow you to start in certain guilds (without having to kill some random person). there are also choices that let you jump start both dawnguard and dragonborn dlc content. you get to go straight into the quest line without any of the hassle. you can say that it's truly the one mod that will make your playthrough fun, exciting and most important;

immersive! from the very start! so remember back in morrowind and oblivion every time you slept and leveled up you'd get a deep, motivational message that would really define what it meant to level up. with skyrim it's just a chorus of men chanting with a blue bar flashing. yay! the end. let's bring that amazing feature back with the mod; reflection by chesko. with this mod you'll receive those messages each time you level up.

from messages such as; my god! my level ups are filled with such immersion and meaning. even if some of them leave me very, very confused. now these will progressively appear less and less as you level up and by level 50 or higher, you won't receive any messages. but that's okay, because by then you'll have bulked up on all the motivational messages you needed. (or not). but too bad, you're not getting anymore. so intensify that nostalgia and download this mod when that remastered hits the consoles.

up next we have shezrie's old hroldan town version 2.0. oh boy, there's a lot so buckle down boys and girls. it's about to get real. now this may appear to be a small, cramped, quaint town. but this place will offer a whole new "lore friendly" experience with tons to discover. it would beat any of the vanilla towns any day. the town is divided into different squares; such as the marketplace, dagger's square, and even a privy square. where the residents come and go do what they gotta do.

there are those typical alchemy and clothing stores. but each store has an amazing interior design. i spent way too much time just standing around admiring. there are also unique stores such as a bakery, and a library. where the librarian constantly tells you to be quiet. (i even didn't say anything). one very cool feature about this mod is that nearly all buildings can be entered one of two ways; through the front door (snore)

or through the window! so as a thief character you'll be able to truly become like the shadow of the night. and not boringly bust through the front door. but stealthily enter through the window. steal it all, and leave the way you came. now this town holds many secrets. but one major discovery is that underneath old hroldan is a whole new underground town. it has it's own stores, inn and tavern.

with that cutthroat, thug life theme that would perfectly compliment any thief style playthrough. you'll be surrounded by fellow thieves, have a pawn shop for selling them stolen goods. and even find the legendary sweetroll thief down here. it's pretty much thief heaven (but underground). what are you doing ratway?! step up your game! and there is so, so much more to cover in this mod. such as that there are over 26 well voice acted npcs. two very different but equally amazing player homes. dark secrets with super creepy ghosts and paranormal occurrences.

but then this video would become way to long. so i'll leave those as surprises for you to discover. but before we move on there is one more thing that must be addressed. so mxr had reviewed old hroldan before. and he had apparently said not so nice things about the town. (way to go). as such, the mod author has a special surprise added in for him; so that if you went in as a female nord, spoke with the mayor of the town there will be a dialogue option saying "i am alex".

unfortuantely, i, not mxr am reviewing this mod. and i apologize to the mod author for that. but, instead i shall do my very best mxr impersonation. to satisfy your needs, (that sounds weird) but ok... mr. mayor of old shezrie's town i'm must commend you, you really turned things around. you've done so well to clean the town up. the sanitary conditions are unbelievably g-good. you're new citizens are the friendliest people on earth.

and i'm immersive as fuck. h-how was that? good? i tried. now you've just been overloaded with "lore friendly" and immersive mods. and so for our final mod, we are gonna fuck it all up! yah trains for days! this is; call of trainwiz. on the console, you'll automatically have learned the shout. so just get yourself 3 dragon souls unlock the shout "fucktons of trains".

and unleash glorious, beautiful train-related chaos. so, so lovely! look at all that death. (i have a problem). so why not take a break and rain down trains everywhere? just let it happen. let it happen man, woman, i don't discriminate. whether you're in the city, or whether you're in the field. it's always a good time for green eggs and ham. i mean hundreds of crashing trains. so what are you waiting for? oh wait, that's right, the actual game.
