now if you suspect there is a problem withyour air conditioner unit or you‘ve been advised by a service company to turn the unitoff until a technician arrives, it may be a good idea to isolate the power to the unitas well. as this may prevent possible damage to you air conditioning unit. now the first thing we want to do is turnthe unit off using the controller if possible. next lets find your isolation point. thispoint is typically within arms reach of your air conditioners outdoor unit, or for whateverreason you can’t find the isolation point, lets go over to the electrical switchboard.inside of the switchboard there should be a circuit breaker labeled a/c (air con). thisis also an acceptable way of rebooting or

isolating the power to your unit. whichevercourse you choose to follow, go ahead and flick the switch to the off position.once off, lets leave it for about 10 minutes and while we are waiting, let’s go aheadand clean your air conditioner’s filter, as this can be the cause of numerous faults.if your not sure how to get it done whave a couple videos on filter maintenace so checkthem out. now if we were rebooting the air conditionerand the 10 minutes is up, lets go ahead and flick the isolator or circuit breaker switchto the on position. as a note of caution here, if you go to turna circuit breaker to the on position and it immediately trips back off, its highly likelythere’s a fault on that electrical circuit.
