hey, what's up guys? it's daveen here, and today i'm going to be showing you guys how to install gapps on your android device. two things that you will need is a custom recovery so you can install gapps on your device and second thing is gapps. i'll put a link in the description below, linking to this website. gapps is a bundle of google apps
that includes play store, chrome, contacts, and so on. when you install a new rom gapps allows you to have google playstore, and google apps on your android device. if you are ready, lets get started. once you are at this website, you should see all the android versions. the latest version is android 5.0 this android 5.0 will work with android 5.1, 5.1.1... and so on. choose the android version you are working with if you are on kitkat (4.4), choose android 4.4.x
scroll to the right, click download. once you are at this page scroll down click "download file with peer5" or tap "click here" it will go to another page scroll down and it should say "download file" as you can see, i've already downloaded this file, so i'm going to tap "replace file" and as you can see, it's downloading once the file has been downloaded
you are going to boot in to recovery and again you will need a custom recovery to install gapps. if you don't have a custom recovery, there are a lot of videos on youtube showing you... specific custom recoveries for your android device. the download is finished, now lets enter the recovery. power off your device completely. for the oneplus one, hold on to the volume down button and power button at the same time. after your phone vibrates, let go of the power button, but keep holding on to your volume down button. to boot into recovery on a nexus device
power off the device completely hold on to the power button, volume up and down at the same time. and you should boot into recovery on your nexus device. on a samsung device, you'll have to hold on to the power button, home button and volume up button. at the same time. i have the teamwin recovery, if you have a different custom recovery the sets will be the same, but the layout will be different. go into "install", and go to your downloads folder. or to where your file is located.
mine is in downloads, and as you can see, it says "gapps..." tap on that and slide...and it should install....gapps on your device. tap on "wipe cache/dalvik" press "back" and reboot your device.
