hey guys making a quick video today weare going to be testing a few different lights against one another we aretesting the godox ad600 and the godox ad360ii the godox ad600 with an h600 headall against one another so we know the true output difference between the lightso that you guys can figure out what the best option for you is and i'm alsogoing to meter a tt685 just so we know the difference between a speedlightand the ad360 and then the ad600 so basically i'm going to set up a test between threedifferent lights, record all the power output so that we have some real-worldexpectations of which light is going to be the best one for you

so much godox gear alright ad600check h600 and a tt685 let's do this i'm looking for a light meter a light meter that somebody gave me five hours ago i most certainly did not lose this atall just you see how i'm trying to run thistest i have a light meter in the center of the table and the other end i have anoctabox

all right guys first test this is i with the godox ad600and i will get the meter right here in the center and see what we get alright so the ad600 got 22.4 f-22.4 22 and a half stops on its actually a little bit more powerful then testedearlier but i don't know what the circumstances is maybe just kind ofwarmed up a bit but we'll see i've got everything turned on right now so thateverything has been running on twice really hot in this room so one note about the godox ad600 from mytests earlier and

as well as what i'm going through rightnow that power is consistent obviously that was a concern for something comingout of china you know that was used to imitate us leading products and stufflike that but every time that i set it up and i'm really consistent with wherethe meter is i'm just getting the exact 10th power output every single time so good news for godox ad600 owners now we're going to test the godox h600 attached to the ad600 i didn't test like this last week andactually the h600 was looking about two-thirds stop less powerful than thegodox ad600 as a standalone unit

all right it's time to test the h600 head on the godox ad600 and see how much power we lose so the h600 just came in with threereadings at 16.9 which is again nice that it's really consistent even on thehead we're getting the same power outputevery time that doesn't mean that we're losing about a half stop compared to thead600 yeah the ad360ii actually came in with threeresults of 16.0 every time earlier today when i was trying it was a11.9 so i get it again the same results

to the 10th power each time which is great all theselights have just been really really consistent no power changes sometimesi'm cutting in and out here but each lady and pops about 20 times in betweenon test just for a matter of testing we're goingto throw on a tt685 and see what reading we get out of that i realizedthat it's not a fair representation of power in a softbox because the tt685 isobviously shooting all its power through a very narrow beam which really isn'tbouncing off the walls it's mostly just going straight through

but i figured i'd throw it on just tosee what we get the tt685 through the softbox gave us arating of a . 8.9 a point a so pretty darn consistent alright guys so take a look at theresults of the ad600 came in at 22.4 stops the h600 head on the ad600came in at 16.9 stops and the ad360ii came in at sixteen point out if you'reinterested the tt685 came in at 8. point 8 basically what we can conclude overallis that the ad360ii is about one stop

more powerful than the tt685 in the softboxagain not a fair representation of power in other circumstances you're going toget more light output out of the ad360ii on the h600 however is about 1.4 stops morepowerful than the ad360ii now given the wattage of the unit's that's actually abit surprising because ad600 is obviously 600 watts ad360ii is 360 you would expectabout two-thirds or you know eight tenths of a stop more out of the ad600 than the ad360 but toproduce one and a half stops more that is actually a lot lot lot more power i did do a test on the hss earlier andessentially we're losing about .2

stops on both of them but you're going to lose some more poweras you increase your shutter speed essentially what it's saying though isthat there's not really a ton of efficiency loss by converting to hss soeven though it is giving you that duration you're still getting a majority of thepower at the peak so i hope that all this information is useful to you guys iam loving this godox system i really really change the way i workand now that it's all working together my speedlights, the ad360ii, the monolightsall off one unit or if i'm using a

speedlight control them all the factthat it's all working together as opposed to trying to daisy-chain multiplesystems like i've been doing for years has just really really helped my work it's really sped up how i'm able to gothroughout the day i'm you know getting in and out oflocations is faster there's a lot less cables battery packsreceivers to pack away batteries to worry about a lot less issues you knowwith when a light isn't going off you know is that the batteries and thelight is that the batteries and the receiver is that the batteries in thetransmitter

it's really clear you know if your flashdies your flash dies with this system and you know that's what needs to bereplaced which batteries need to be replacedoverall it's just really saved a lot of headaches for me on wedding days butit's easier that your system is the more you're gonna be able to focus on the job get creative and do all the things thatyou want to do i think that if you are outdoors a lotof the ad600 along with the h600 is still a great optionespecially if you're a fast shooter a lot of people are you know thinkingabout this power output of the ad600 and

saying oh you know it's such a blockylight and it's only putting out one and a half steps more well that's a heck ofa lot more power but what people aren't considering is that recycle time of thead600 is significantly lower than the ad360ii, even at their full powers soad600 is recycling 600 watts at two and a half seconds while the ad360ii is takingabout for my experience four and a half seconds to our recycle 360 watts ofpower so if you have an ad600 you're going tobe able to shoot a lot faster especially if you're not at full power once you getto a quarter it's pretty much instantaneous recycle and you're stillgetting you know a majority of power

that you would get with an ad360ii if youare doing location work i would highly recommend adding the h600 with your with yourad600 i'm going to include links to all of theequipment that's involved in this video i will also include at the bottom of thedescription the equivalent chart for all of thisequipment in a flash . terms of if you're not aware godox's entire newlineup is also available under the flashpoint brand they kind of rebrandedit so it's all had it all has different names and stuff but it is the exact sameequipment
